100 Questions to Ask on Social Media to get the Conversation Started

We've all been through this! Avoid those scary crickets by asking these 100 social media questions and starting a conversation!

What is the difference between posts that get a response from people and posts that don’t?

At the end of the day, remember that social media engagement is KING. Engagement is all the likes, comments, and reposts that we love to see.

When people interact with your posts it does three great things:

1. It tells the social media platform that this is a GOOD STUFF. Your post then gets served to more and more people!

2. You will have the opportunity to interact back and forth with the audience while building closer relationships with them

3. Others will see people ENJOY your brand and site! (This is called "social proof"). It only helps grow your audience and platform.

I think we can all agree that we definitely want interaction on our pages

One thing that people can get stuck on is whether all social media posts should be related to their business

The answer is… NO, they don't! In fact, you may find that your most effective attention grabbing posts are those that are completely independent of your business.

I keep coming back to the questions: "Why are people on social media?” and "Why are they following the brand on social media?

People usually use social media to connect. They want to connect with people in their lives, those they know, and those they want to follow.

That's actually the same reason people follow brands on social media!

Of course, they are probably interested in your product. But they may have visited your website for it.

They have chosen to follow your brand on social media. In other words, they want to connect. And the best way to connect is personal!

Sharing behind-the-scenes things about your life with you will actually increase your connection with your audience. It's unlikely, but by showing your audience a new haircut, you can actually build your brand.

This truth also applies to your posts, photos, and your live video.

So ... what are some ideas for making people react?

Today we will focus on some post ideas for generating comments and engagement on the page.

We've put together a list of questions to ask on social media to help you start a conversation. Give it a try and see what you think!
